When you prepare an aromatic infusion, you have several important elements that participate and contribute to the flavor of your drink being the best. Sometimes it happens that the flavor is not the same or it tastes "weird" or "maluco" and we do not know why.
As we all know, an aromatic is composed of two important elements: water and herbs. Usually we focus on getting herbs or mixtures with the taste that we like and of a good quality and we forget the other important element that makes the whole combination change: water.

Clearly this happens because the water has no smell or flavor so we assume that the taste will always be neutral and that we will feel it is the herbs. But it does not always happen that way.
With our experience in the preparation of infusions for homes and workplaces we have discovered a factor that can significantly change the flavor of aromatic beverages and is the origin of water.
In many places, usually work, coffee machines are used to heat the water and users can get hot water ready to prepare their infusions. Often the compartments in which coffee and water are stored alternate and the machine remains with the remaining coffee flavor that changes the flavor of the water that comes out of it. If you prepare an aromatic with that water, it will undoubtedly be left with a different flavor, usually with bitter or coffee-like accents.
Another key factor for your drink to remain with the flavor that the herbs provide, is the container in which you prepare and enjoy it. It is more advisable to use glass or ceramic cups because they do not store odors. Plastic containers can store odors or add the flavor of their material to the beverage.
For this, before taking an aromatic infusion verify that all the elements that compose it are appropriate and you can enjoy the rich flavor of the herbs in their best condition.
